I understand that with feedback, this design soon morphed into the more traditional PanE Light Tank

Super fun original artwork by Lee Madison, circa 2017:
"Angry OGRE!! The MK V Ogre runs amok and really, really wants to get that pesky GEV!! A fun cartoony version of the mighty cybertank from the famous and classic Steve Jackson game. I admit to being a big fan of OGRE, and have loads of the miniatures in my 6mm Grand Army."
Note sure where this first appeared - probably in B&W and later colourised like some of other works - but it is dated 1985.
Artist: Graham Chaffee
Artwork accompanying "Basic Ogre Defence" article by Michael Nahas, in The Space Gamer #51 (May 1982 in the middle of the Falklands War!)
Artist Unknown - can anyone assist?

Artwork by Peter Daglio, accompanying Chester Hendrix's classic article "The Four Howitzer Defense in OGRE," (The Space Gamer #24, Sept-Oct 1979, page 19)
Some of Winchell Chung's future battlefield of illustrations from "G.E.V. a designer's introduction" by Steve Jackson, The Space Gamer 17 (May-June 1978)
An iconic piece: Graham Chaffee's original Light Ground Effect Vehicle (LGEV).
I'm not sure where this was first published but I've always found it an inspiring image.
