". . . we call it the Last War, not because it was mankind's final battle, but because the world which started the war no longer existed by its close. It lasted forty years, and it saw the destruction of four mighty empires. Two generations never knew a world without conflict; few were not personally touched by its ravages, and fewer still remembered a world without Ogres . . ." – from "After the Long Winter: Roots of the New World" University of Melbourne, 2250

SEALION: Operational Summary

This project aims to flesh out the single line from OGREverse History sthat states "Second Paneuropean assault on England is a disastrous failure." I have based much of this operational summary from the German Operational Plan "SEALION" during WW2, with appropriate extrapolations for technology

The PanE Scheme of Manoeuvre to capture London

PanEuropean Plan

  • Based on surprise, speed and shock action.
  • Predominantly GEV borne assets (including Hovertruck ferried infantry where GEV-PC capabilities were reduced) with heavier units brought in subsequent to securing the beacheads.
  • Blocking forces positioned to the east (PanE Naval forces in North Sea) and west (Cyber units) to prevent flanking attacks.

Precursor Operations

  • Systematic destruction of all surveillance assets
  • SLBM deep strike from North Sea (subsequent loss of surprise)
  • General failure of HUMINT sources, many of which were compromised and used for misdirection and deception
